In 2001-2002, while on industrial leave, invited researcher at Ericsson Research Canada, to study the adaptation of the free Linux operating system for high performance and high availability computer clusters serving telecommunication applications.
In 1995-1996, on a one year leave of absence from Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal, worked as Director of Software Development at Positron Industries, provider of 911 emergency call center telephony equipment for a few thousand cities across the world. Main architect for the next generation 911 emergency call management software. This mission critical, distributed, soft real time, fault tolerant, computer integrated telephony application accesses several remote databases.
Strong interest in computer engineering algorithms with applications in Distributed Systems, run-time support libraries, operating systems, and computer architecture. Past coordinator for the following courses:
